Crazy Chemworks (next available in Fall '19 in Manhattan, Brooklyn & Queens)
Welcome to the world of chemistry! Children make gooey slime, experiment with different reactions, and learn to use the tools that chemists use. Polymers and catalysts are only two of the fascinating concepts young scientists explore in this thrilling trip through the chemistry lab!
Jr. Explorers (next available in Fall '19 in Westchester & the Bronx)
Discover why science is the real star on the big screen. You’ll create cool sound effects and get your very own robot hand to take home in a class that focuses on technology. Harness the sun’s heat and ramp up a power generation station. Get linked in to a network and work with radio signals.
Secret Agent Lab (next available in Winter '20 in Manhattan, Brooklyn & Queens)
Step into the shoes of a detective and uncover the science involved in evidence gathering and analysis. Probe the science of tracking as you stamp out scenarios, dust for fingerprints and uncover all sorts of codes in this session.
NASA Academy of Future Space Explorers (next available Spring '20 in Manhattan, Brooklyn & Queens)
NASA and Mad Science collaborate to educate the next generation! Children go on a voyage of discovery with unique hands-on activities, and amazing demonstrations that explore the sun and stars, space technology, rocket science, the atmosphere, planets and moons, and more!
The Mad Science Rocket Academy (Available year round in all areas but only for Grades 3 & Up with a maximum of 8 students per session)
Design, draw & create your very own series of model rockets. A great way to investigate space flight, engineering and aerodynamics! (Each Rocket takes 1-2 weeks to complete/Students will build several rockets and gliders over the session).
Robotics (Available year round in all areas but only for Grades 3 & Up with a maximum of 8 students per session)
Spend the semester learning about robots while we experiment and play with them. We will we discuss what makes robots different from humans while exploring circuits and conductivity as well as simple machines. Over the course of the semester each participant will build a robot and unlike other robotic clubs, each child will get to keep their completed robot at the end!
